After implementing a full-scale training program with Hadeed, Saudi Arabia’s largest steel manufacturer, Illinois-based TPC Training Systems’ operator and technician training program is already showing positive results.

For TPC, success is defined as when a client is able to use veteran technicians across multiple facilities because critical system information is now available to all technicians working in the field more easily.

Technicians train on more than a thousand course hours of technical and safety core training subjects with TPC Online. After implementing the new training regimen, Hadeed has been able to utilize its steel production personnel resources to maximize output.

TPC Training Systems also developed 33 TPC iSchematic modules to polish up the troubleshooting processes of steel making with ongoing on-the-job support. The custom built schematic applications let maintenance technicians better address failing industrial equipment. The steelmaking maintenance technicians previously had to use physical documents for operating procedures.

“The large quantity of machine documentation that the client employs called for a centralized, simpler system for accessing and searching for relevant information for each maintenance procedure,” TPC Consulting’s EVP Bobby Wood said. “TPC iSchematic provided an ideal job support solution for their maintenance workforce as it cuts through the clutter and places important job-relevant information directly within each machine process.”
