Saudi Arabia welcomes U.S. Commission on International Religious Freedom

A delegation
from the United States Commission on International Religious Freedom (USCIRF) recently visited with Deputy Minister of Islamic Affairs, Call and Guidance Tawfiq
Abdulaziz Al-Sudairy in Riyadh.

 
Al-Sudairy spoke at the meeting about Islam’s tolerance and its respect of
human rights and freedoms. He said  Islam has respect for all
aspects of life, including the guarantee of freedom and peaceful coexistence with
those that follow a different religion.

 

After the meeting, members of the USCIRF delegation praised the
Ministry of Islamic Affairs’ efforts to fight extremism and
terrorism. The USCIRF also expressed the goal of working toward stronger
bilateral relations between the ministry and the commission in an effort to
serve freedom around the globe.
