Saudi Aramco executives recently met with a delegation from the Gulf
Organization for Industrial Consulting (GOIC) to discuss the localization of
industrial products and services in the energy field.

The GOIC
and Saudi Aramco are cooperating in order to attract investors to energy
projects and encourage growth in the private sector. The two
organizations hope to grow local talent to deliver on Saudi Aramco’s goal
of localizing 70 percent of total investments in goods and services by 2021.

Leading the
GOIC delegation was Abdulaziz Bin Hamad Al-Ageel, secretary of the GOIC. Ahmad A. Al Sa’adi, senior vice president of technical services for Saudi Aramco, led
the company’s executives at the meeting. Managers from industrial development, strategic supply and project management departments at the
company also attendend.

“Saudi Aramco seeks to create several additional training
centers to cover all industrial needs by 2030 that will be capable of promoting
human resources development in the kingdom and throughout the gulf,” Al Sa’adi said.
