The Council of Saudi Chambers (CSC)
recently signed an agreement with the Niger Chamber of Commerce aimed at
enhancing economic cooperation between the two nations.
The agreement was signed by CSC Vice Chairperson Shuwaimi Al Kattab
during a trip to Niger, and Niger Chamber of Commerce President Moussa Sidi
Mohammed, in honor of Nigerian President Mahamadou Issoufou, who is visiting
Saudi Arabia.
Al Kattab said that Saudi Arabia hopes to increase economic relations with the
African continent as a whole, and Niger in particular. Niger, the largest
country in West Africa, has vast opportunities for Saudi investors, including in oil, petrochemicals, mining,
agriculture and livestock. The agreement signed will
facilitate the exchange of economic information about markets and trade
opportunities.
Among the seven articles of the agreement are exchanging business delegations,
participating in exhibitions and forums for product introduction, and providing
business publications and catalogs showcasing developments in both Saudi Arabia
and the Republic of Niger.
