Saudi Electricity Company to sponsor the National Olympiad for Scientific Creativity 2017

Saudi
Electricity Company (SEC) recently announced that it is sponsoring the National
Olympiad for Scientific Creativity (IBDAA) 2017, an event organized by King
Abdulaziz and his Companions Foundation for Giftedness and Creativity (Mawhiba).

 

The event, which lasts three days, seeks to tout the scientific capabilities of inventors
and thinkers within the kingdom. Humoud bin Awdah Al-Ghubaini, senior vice president for corporate communications & PR at SEC, said the electricity company is sponsoring the event to support and promote a competitive and innovative scientific community in Saudi Arabia. The sponsorship is part of the company’s efforts to promote social responsibility.

 

Al-Ghubaini
expressed the company’s commitment to supporting social responsibility programs
as part of its culture. The company seeks to advance and stimulate the kingdom’s
scientific environment in all fields, especially electric energy.
