His Excellency Mohammed Aljadaan, the Saudi Minister of Finance, will lead Saudi Arabia’s delegation to the World Bank Group (WBG) and International Monetary Fund (IMF) 2025 Annual Meetings. The meetings are scheduled for October 13-18, 2025, in Washington, D.C.
The Saudi delegation includes Ayman Alsayari, Governor of the Saudi Central Bank (SAMA); Eng. Abdullah A. BinZaraah, Assistant Minister of Finance for Macro-Fiscal Policies and International Relations; Dr. Ryadh Alkhareif, Deputy Chair of the International Monetary and Financial Committee (IMFC); Khalid Bawazier, Deputy Minister of Finance for International Affairs; Sultan Almarshad, CEO of the Saudi Fund for Development (SFD); Hani Almedaini, CEO of the National Debt Management Center (NDMC); Talal Al-Homoud, SAMA’s Assistant Governor for Monetary Affairs; Abdulaziz Abanmi, SAMA’s Deputy Governor for Payments; as well as experts from the Ministry of Finance, SAMA, SFD, NDMC, and the Zakat, Tax and Customs Authority (ZATCA).
During the meetings, Mohammed Aljadaan and Ayman Alsayari will take part in the Fourth G20 Finance Ministers and Central Bank Governors (FMCBG) Meeting under South Africa’s presidency. The FMCBG meeting is intended to allow detailed discussions on recent global economic developments and explore ways to improve international cooperation to address worldwide economic challenges.
Mohammed Aljadaan will also participate in the World Bank Group Governor’s Development Committee meeting. This session will focus on updates to WBG development strategies such as job creation as an economic driver, private sector empowerment, and supporting policy reforms that attract investment and foster economic growth.
In addition to these roles, Mohammed Aljadaan will chair a meeting of the International Monetary and Financial Committee. Here members are expected to share perspectives on global economic trends including growth outlooks and emerging risks. The agenda includes discussion on policy priorities worldwide and how the IMF can help address these through financial support, advice, and capacity-building initiatives.
The Annual Meetings provide a forum where finance ministers, central bankers, senior officials from international organizations, private sector leaders, civil society representatives, and academics meet to discuss major topics like global economic trends, sustainable development efforts, poverty reduction strategies, as well as other key financial matters.
