The Ministry of Finance in Saudi Arabia has completed the fifth edition of the “Saudi Tour,” an event that coincided with the announcement of the State Budget for 2026. The tour, held from November 29 to December 4, 2025, brought together investors and representatives from international financial institutions. Its purpose was to highlight ongoing national transformation efforts under Saudi Vision 2030 and to present major projects that align with the country’s goals for economic growth and social development.
The conclusion of the tour took place during the activities of the Budget Forum 2026. The Minister of Finance, Mohammed Aljadaan, and Vice Minister Abdulmuhsen Alkhalaf participated in discussions about fiscal efficiency, economic growth stimulation, and fostering global investment partnerships. These topics reflect the Ministry’s role in supporting Vision 2030 objectives and advancing sustainable financial policies.
According to a statement from organizers: “The tour serves as a window that reveals to the world the scale of achievements the Kingdom has realized in a short period, demonstrating its ability to balance economic advancement with the preservation of cultural and environmental identity. The projects showcased throughout the tour underscore the Kingdom’s commitment to accelerating development, diversifying the economy, and attracting high-value investments—reinforcing its position as a leading economic power regionally and globally.”
Organizers also emphasized collaboration with international partners: “The tour embodied the Kingdom’s spirit of collaboration and openness with its international partners, highlighting its tangible progress in tourism, industry, infrastructure, sustainability, education, and culture.”
The itinerary began in Saudi Arabia’s Eastern Province where participants visited key energy, industrial, and infrastructure sites such as King Abdulaziz Center for World Culture (Ithra), Aramco Stadium, projects by Saudi Water Partnership Company, and MODON industrial cities. These visits highlighted how this region contributes significantly to industrial growth and innovation.
Participants then traveled to AlUla to observe examples of cultural tourism at locations like Ashar Valley, Elephant Rock, and Maraya. Organizers stated these destinations illustrate how authenticity can be maintained alongside modern tourism development.
The Red Sea area was another stop on the tour. Here attendees saw updates on The Red Sea International project which is noted for eco-tourism initiatives involving sustainable hospitality practices and clean energy use.
In Riyadh—the nation’s capital—the group toured major sites including Historic Diriyah, Boulevard World, King Salman Park, Riyadh Metro system developments, The Garage innovation hub, Qiddiya entertainment city project as well as environmental efforts through Riyadh Green Initiative.
These events are part of broader government strategies aimed at transforming Saudi Arabia’s economy away from oil dependency by expanding sectors such as tourism and entertainment while maintaining commitments to sustainability.
