The World Bank Group (WBG), in collaboration with the Saudi Ministry of Finance, has announced the opening of registration for the “World Bank Group Saudi Fellowship Program.” The registration period runs from May 20, 2025, to June 9, 2025. This initiative aims to develop and qualify national competencies by offering job opportunities at WBG headquarters in Washington DC or its regional offices worldwide.

The program is designed to provide a professional experience for individuals passionate about international development. Participants will engage in WBG projects that involve formulating policies and strategies, designing development programs, and addressing global challenges such as poverty. These efforts are conducted in cooperation with governments, the private sector, and civil society in developing countries.

Previous editions of the program have successfully attracted young Saudi candidates, enhancing their capacity building in technical fields essential for sustainable development. This contributes to strengthening Saudi Arabia’s representation within the World Bank Group.

This initiative aligns with ongoing efforts by the Saudi Ministry of Finance and the Kingdom’s Executive Director’s office at the World Bank Group to build national competencies within international organizations. It also aims to enable Saudi nationals to contribute effectively to global development work.

A virtual introductory session is scheduled for Thursday, May 22, 2025. Interested individuals can learn about admission requirements and application procedures during this session and meet with WBG recruitment specialists.

For those interested in applying for the program, registration details are available online.
