Silver Peak, a global leader in broadband and hybrid WAN
Solutions, recently announced that Nick Applegarth has been appointed vice president of sales for EMEA — a move made to help drive growth across Europe, the Middle East
and Africa (EMEA).

Applegarth brings more than 25 years of experience in the
telecommunications and technology industry. His role with Silver Peak will
include leading the EMEA sales team, providing the grounds for rapid growth in
the SD-WAN market. He will also help the company explore new opportunities for
market expansion in the region.

“We are thrilled to have Nick on board,” Chris Helfer, senior vice president of worldwide sales, Silver Peak, said. “This
is an exciting time at Silver Peak as we establish the company as an SD-WAN
trailblazer and capitalize on the addressable market opportunity that is
estimated by IDC to eclipse $6 billion by 2020.”

Helfer noted that Applegarth’s experience will help the
company achieve sales success and grow its position as the leader in the
fast-growing SD-WAN space.

“I’m extremely excited to join Silver Peak as the
company accelerates its expansion into the emerging SD-WAN and service provider
markets,” Applegarth said. “The demand for a more secure, flexible source
of connectivity with improved performance and reliability is growing rapidly
and I welcome the opportunity to lead Silver Peak into the market across the
region.”
