Sotheby’s Realty expands in Abu Dhabi, plots Middle East expansion

Sotheby’s International Realty is expanding its presence in the United Arab Emirates, opening a second office in Abu Dhabi on April 23, the company announced.

The office will be on Al Maryah Island, on the 35th floor of Al Maquam Tower.

“Investor appetite (for luxury real estate) in the emirate is strong and will only continue to increase,” said Jackie Johns, Sotheby’s Managing Director in the UAE. “Our aim is to very quickly become the realtor of choice for luxury investors, irrespective of whether they are investing locally or internationally.”

Sotheby’s has 760 offices in 60 countries. It is headquartered in Madison, New Jersey.
