The Qatar office of master planning, infrastructure, building design, construction supervision and project management firm SSH will conduct all professional design services for The South Mall, a new luxury retail complex project of E’EMAR Development & Real Estate investment.
The contract was awarded to SSH after company officials submitted a design concept that was chosen by E’EMAR from among several other local and international firms.
The new mall will be on Wakrah Road near the center of the growing city of Al Wakrah, Qatar. The 538,195-square-feet space will feature high-end luxury stores, a hypermarket, international restaurants, food outlets, coffee shops, and a sports and recreational club.
“The new innovative and unique design submitted by SSH will make The South Mall in Qatar a compelling destination for residents and tourists alike,” SSH senior partner and Qatar resident director Matthew Squires said.
SSH operates offices in Kuwait, Oman, Qatar, United Arab Emirates, Iraq, Bahrain, Algeria, South Africa and London. Founded in 1961, the firm’s teams have completed more than 1,000 projects throughout the region.
