Carnegie Mellon University Qatar (CMU-Q) recently announced
that a team of its students placed third in the Inter-College Environmental
Public Speaking Competition that was put together by the Emirates Environmental
Group (EEG).

 

The annual EEG competition, which is held in Dubai, is the
most famous and important sustainability competition in the region and this
year brought together 56 teams from across the Arab world.

 

CMU-Q’s team consisted of students Kaltham
Al-Khuzaei, Noor Al-Marri, Zanib Khalid and Ibrahim Soltan.

Soltan and
Al-Khuzaei presented the team’s project at the event,
entitled “e-bonus.” The team created, prototyped,
tested and validated the innovative product.

 

The team won third place at the event and second in the
e-waste category.
