Sustainable science and technology focus of Saudi minister trip to King Abdulaziz City for Science and Technology

Saudi Arabia Minister of Energy, Industry and Mineral Resources Khalid Al-Falih met recently with King Abdulaziz City for Science and Technology (KACST) President Turki bin Saud bin Mohammed Al
Saud at KACST headquarters in Riyadh.

Al Saud and several of KACST’s top ranking
officials and researchers met with Al-Falih to review some of the most
important research projects by KACST.

The research projects conducted by KACST were in numerous
strategic technologies protected in the National Science, Technology and
Innovation Plan (NSTIP). KACST performs research in the investment’s mechanism
through the Saudi Company for Development and Technology Investment (TAQNIA) and
in the energy field.

Before the end of his visit to KACST, Al-Falih highlighted
the significance of development in the fields of scientific research and
technology. He also noted the need for growing a lasting national science,
technology and innovation system that can help contribute to the economic
growth and work toward the strategic vision expressed in kingdom of Saudi
Arabia in 2030.
