Swiss-Belhotel International has announced plans to open its first property in the Eastern Province of Saudi Arabia by the end of 2016.

Known as Swiss-Belhotel Al Khobar, the four-star property will consist of 100 rooms and feature contemporary interior design, two food and drink outlets and retail shops for rent. It will be the hotel management company’s third hotel in Saudi Arabia, as there are plans to open locations in Makkah and Riyadh this year, as well.

“We are excited as we set foot in Al Khobar, one of Saudi Arabia’s top business and tourist destinations, well-known for its fair share of regional and international companies and the beautiful expanse of the Corniche, the Golden Belt Walk, Al-Rashid Mall and many other attractions,” Swiss-Belhotel International Chairman and President Gavin Faull said.

In addition to Saudi Arabia, Swiss-Belhotel International manages more than 125 hotels, resorts and projects in many other areas, including Bahrain, Kuwait, Oman and the United Arab Emirates.

“I’m honored to work with Swiss-Belhotel International, and I am totally confident that the new property will be one of the main highlights in the pearl of Saudi, Al Khobar City,” Mohamed Al Malki, the property owner, said. “With the international expertise of the team behind this project, it is a privilege to contribute to the tourism sector by providing quality hotel accommodation and experience like no other.”
