Swiss International opens first residences in Jeddah

Swiss International opened its first extended stay hotel Wednesday within the brand name of Swiss International The Residences, located in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia.

This is the third hotel that the company has opened in Saudi Arabia. Previous hotels by the company include the Swiss International Park hotel (in Baljurashi, Al Baha area) as well as the Swiss Spirit Hotel & Suites – Turaif, which has 46 rooms. Swiss International intends to open an additional 30 hotels in the area within the next 5 years.

“We are very pleased to be able to formally introduce Swiss International – The Residences brand in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, after Introducing Swiss International and Swiss Spirit Hotel & Suites brands last month,” Naji AlShiha, Swiss International Middle East & HDG CEO, said. “It’s quite exciting also for us to have these new hotels under our Swiss International wings.”

The new hotel features a Grill Room, a Swiss Café – Restaurant and Lounge, Eventives for Meetings & Events, a Moods Shisa Lounge and an Inspirations Gym and Pool.

“It is a pleasure to see the chain growing in Saudi Arabia, after Al Baha and Turaif, now in Jeddah, the country’s second biggest city after the capital, Riyadh,” Henri Kennedie, president & CEO of Swiss International (Corporate), said. “With its prime location, Swiss International – The Residences Jeddah is a welcome addition to the growing hospitality market in Jeddah, and we are delighted to be flying the Swiss International flag at this new hotel.”
