Tejar Dubai hosts workshop for young UAE tech entrepreneurs

The Tejar Dubai entrepreneurship development program recently hosted a workshop entitled “Entrepreneurship – The Road to Success” in partnership with the Dubai Silicon Oasis Authority and Dubai Technology Entrepreneurship Centre.

Tejar Dubai is an initiative of the Dubai Chamber of Commerce and Industry and the workshop was held at the chamber premises on Wednesday for aspiring entrepreneurs in the field of digital technology.

The workshop focused on digital economy, familiarizing participants with the tools entrepreneurs need for success in the field of technology. The event shed light on success stories and experiences from experts in the field of innovation and digital technology. Participants also received information on the services and objectives of the Tejar Dubai entrepreneurship development program.

Jonathan Labin, the face of Facebook in the region, spoke on how to manage the effect of websites on corporate culture while Jean-Pierre Mondalek, UAE GM for Uber Technologies, discussed the challenges his company faced in the region.

This is the sixth training workshop of the year, with events bringing in more than 300 upcoming UAE entrepreneurs.

Tejar Dubai’s coordinator Essa Al Zaabi said the organization is keen to provide young Emiratis with the support they need to implement their ideas and realize their goals of setting up an enterprise of their own.

“I call upon all the participants of the workshop to benefit from the speakers’ experiences and the processes they followed in the success of their business,” Al Zaabi said.
