Dubai Chamber of Commerce initiative Tejar Dubai, an entrepreneurship development program developed by the Dubai Chamber of Commerce and Industry, recently hosted a workshop titled “Protecting Your Business Legally.”

The workshop took place at the chamber’s head office and was attended by more than 40 young Emirati entrepreneurs.

The goal of the initiative is to give young, potential business owners in the UAE knowledge and tools as they come into the business world.

Isa Bin Haider, legal consultant and counsel, led the workshop. He spoke to attendees about business law in the Emirates, preparation for setting up a new business, and working with government authorities.

Essa Al Zaabi, senior vice president of the Dubai Chamber’s Institutional Support Sector and general coordinator of Tejar Dubai, said the workshop was modeled after the Tejar Dubai entrepreneurship development program.

Al Zaabi said seven commercial projects have commenced with the help of the program and that many new projects are slated to begin.
