The third edition of the Global PR Summit Middle East on June 1 and 2 in Bahrain is expected to draw

public relations and communications experts from such businesses as Google, MasterCard, Nissan, STC, P&G and Cruises Lines International.

Kosta Petrov, event director for the Global PR Summit, said that after the success the summit has had in Qatar and Oman, the organization is glad to have Bahrain as the next host.

The Bahrain summit, being organized by P World, will deal with various topics including current trends and challenges regarding regional communications, crisis communications, reputation management and visual and digital PR.

Mary Jo Jacobi, a world-renowned PR expert and a former vice president of communications at BP America, will kick off the event with a keynote address on reputation management.

Speakers on digital PR will include Joyce Baz from Google, Simon Jenkins with Soicalyze, Alex Malouf of P&G and Sarah Walker Kerr from the Ritz Carlton Hotel Group.

Amjad Shacker of STC and Patrick Jephson, former press secretary to Princess Diana, will speak on strategic PR. Tomas Matesanz, from Cruises Lines International and Donald Steel from BBC will give the keynote address on crisis communications.
