Three Texas A&M at Qatar students receive travel grants

Three Texas A&M University at Qatar researchers have been awarded travel grants to share their research efforts through the Research Excellence Travel Grant Program.

Imran Shafique Ansari, Sun Hee Yoon and Mostafa Shahin are the winners of $1,200 travel grants this quarter.

Ansari is a postdoctoral research associate in the electrical and computer engineering program. He will present two papers at the Middle East IEEE Vehicular Technology Conference in Montreal, Canada in mid-September.

Yoon is a postdoctoral research associate in the chemical engineering program. She will present at the International Conference on Nanotechnology, Nanomaterials and Thin Films for Energy Applications in Liverpool, England.

Shahin is a research associate in the electrical and computer engineering program. He will present at the Interspeech event in San Francisco in early September.

The travel grants are an initiative of the Researcher Development Program, providing financial support for conference-related travel expenses every quarter.
