UAE-based hospitality firm TIME Hotels Management recently initiated a Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) website called “Tomorrow’s World” in Dubai to inform hotel guests about the company’s sustainability ethics and to highlight its local volunteer opportunities.

The online platform was developed to highlight TIME’s interest and promotion of workplace well-being, community activism and environmental awareness. TIME Hotels CEO Mohamed Awadalla described the project, which stemmed from the company’s CSR Label for 2015 award from the Dubai Chamber of Commerce & Industry, as a way of uniting various factions within the local area to “ensuring, not just a better world, but a better tomorrow as well” for today’s children to inherit in the future.

TIME Hotels belongs to a Dubai Chamber group called “Engage Dubai,” a global network supporting healthy living conditions through employee volunteer programs at the local level. TIME hopes to set an example for its staff and guests by promoting engagement, encouraging individuals to make a difference — in turn boosting morale and drive.

“It is fantastic to see our team members get behind all of our CSR activities with enthusiasm and commitment,” Awadalla said.

For example, the hotel has partnered with Etihad Airways to support a Kenyan school to which employees and visitors can donate cash. Similarly, over 80 individuals supported breast cancer research in Dubai with a 3.5 km walk in October. The firm sponsors stress management classes, physical health advice and support and nutritional counseling, in an effort to make the workplace and vacation spot welcoming and comfortable for all.

TIME has partnered with Slow Food Dubai on a community garden project to educate the public about the benefits of growing their own herbs and vegetables in the UAE. The company’s overall outreach is designed to enhance people’s lives and their surrounding communities through charity, education and engagement — and to bring updates to all through its online CSR portal.
