Mohammed Al-Rumaithi, chairman of the
Federation of UAE Chambers of Commerce and Industry and chairman of the Abu
Dhabi Chamber of Commerce and Industry, recently received Manyepedza Lesetedi, Botswana ambassador to Kuwait, at the chamber’s tower in Abu Dhabi.

Abdullah Al-Qubaisi, deputy director general, was also in attendance.

The meeting was held to discuss the importance of economic
and investment cooperation between Emirati businessmen and companies and their
Botswanan counterparts.

“The Abu Dhabi Chamber, as a representative of the private
sector in Abu Dhabi, is aware to increase Emirati investments in Botswanan
markets and helping national companies contribute to executing infrastructure
projects and supporting the economic development process in Botswana,” Al-Rumaithi
said.

For his part, Lesetedi stated that he hopes his country can
lure more visitors and tourists to the country from the UAE, especially for
safari trips, which the related authorities in his country organize. Lesetedi
also encouraged Emirati businessmen to invest in Botswana, noting that fields
such as agriculture, mining and tourism offer good investment opportunities.
