UAE Deputy Prime Minister of Interior Sheikh Saif bin Zayed Al Nahyan recently signed a memorandum of
understanding (MoU) with Khalifa University that will promote future
collaboration and cooperation between the two organizations in the field of innovation.

The university and ministry will work to share knowledge with each
other through workshops, conferences, exhibitions and other innovation-related
events. Khalifa University plays an important role as an incubator for
innovation and research for UAE business ventures in technology. As part of the
MoU, Khalifa’s Innovation Laboratory will play a crucial role in the future
development and implementation of innovative ideas.

“We are honored and deeply touched by the attendance of
H.H. Sheikh Saif bin Zayed at this landmark signing,” Arif Al Hammadi, executive vice president of Khalifa University, said. “His visit, and the
signing of the MoU, reflects the dedicated attention and follow-up of the wise
government to promote research and higher education. It also emphasizes the
Khalifa University’s instrumental role in supporting innovation through the
strategic partnership with the Ministry of Interior’s Innovation Centre.”
