United Arab Emirates
officials welcomed the president of Costa Rica recently, to discuss
investment opportunities that each country has to offer the
other.

Costa Rican leader Luis Guillermo Solís and his
delegation met at the Exhibition Center in Abu Dhabi with Mohammed
Thani Murshid Al-Rumaithi, chairman of the Federation of the UAE
Chamber of Commerce and Industry and chairman of the Abu Dhabi
Chamber of Commerce and Industry.

Also in attendance were Ibrahim
Al-Mahmoud, first deputy chairman of the Abu Dhabi Chamber, along
with many of the chamber’s board members, and Mohammed Helal
Al-Muhairi, director general of the Abu Dhabi Chamber.

Solís
said companies in Costa Rica are keen on partnerships with Emirati
firms, which in turn would benefit from the economic experience of
his country’s businesses. Solís extended an invitation to the
chamber to visit Costa Rica.

Al-Rumaithi welcomed Solís,
saying the chamber is working hard at developing bilateral relations with
Costa Rica. He said the chamber wants to provide support to those companies looking to invest and operate in Abu Dhabi.
