The advisory board of the College of Science at United Arab Emirates (UAE) University recently held its fourth meeting and discussed the pursuit of happiness as one of its initiatives.

The meeting was held in the Innovation Lab in the Crescent building. Dr. Ahmad Murad, dean of the College of Science and board member, attended the meeting, as well as a number of other board members and dignitaries.

Murad said the first mission of UAE University is to add to the wealth of knowledge in society by preparing confident, skilled graduates qualified for the job market. He stated that the College of Science is committed to research and lab-based courses and also field practice, thanks to partnerships that help the students gain hands-on experience.

The meeting also reviewed some of the accomplishments of the recent academic school year and made a point to discuss initiatives for happiness and positive attitudes to stay in alignment with trends observed nationally.

The board also congratulated UAE University on the re-accreditation of the Chemistry Department by the British Royal Society.
