UL, along with the Saudi Arabian Standards Organization (SAS), recently stated that it has made an agreement to encourage UL Standards for Safety usage as Saudi Arabia continues to develop its own national safety standards.
These standards apply to formal communication, consulting and information exchange protocols. The organization promotes the use, translation and adoption of these standards throughout Saudi Arabia.
According to the agreement, SASO — Saudi Arabia’s national standards writing organization — will gain full access to the standards of UL. The agreement also promotes the collaboration and cooperation of SASO and UL for developing new standards.
The goal of this agreement is to help the two organizations create outlines for the agreement and cooperation as they continue to develop these important standards. SASO plans to adopt and use the standards of UL throughout Saudi Arabia.
