Qatar Minister of Foreign Affairs Mohammed Al-Thani recently met with new United Nations (UN) Secretary-General
Antonio Guterres to discuss the latest developments in Syria, especially the deteriorating
humanitarian conditions in Aleppo.

 

During the meeting, Al-Thani spoke of the importance the
international community shoulders in protecting the civilians, securing safe
paths and guaranteeing the delivery of humanitarian assistance to Aleppo and
other besieged Syrian cities.

 

Al-Thani also congratulated Guterres on his appointment to
the secretary-general position.
