According to a recent announcement, His Excellency Sultan Bin Saeed Al Mansouri, the minister of economy for the United Arab Emirates (UAE), is the leader of a high-level delegation from the UAE to Georgia.

Before the visit, which will last three days, Al Mansouri and Prime Minister His Excellency Irakli Garibashvili of Georgia held a meeting with high-ranking officials from both UAE and Georgia. The two leaders discussed the best approaches to be used to strengthen relations between the two regions for the good of their trades, economies and investment sectors.

“Economic and trade relations have been improving steadily during the last few years, and proportionately the volume of trade exchanged between the two countries has also surged,” Al Mansouri said. “The total trade volume between the UAE and Georgia was valued at approximately $196 million (USD) in 2014. Given the strong, friendly relations the two countries enjoy, we believe there is significant potential for growth in the economic relations between the UAE and Georgia. I am confident that both the UAE and Georgia have so much to offer each other and look forward to seeing our two countries build new synergies for the mutual benefit of our people.”
