United Arab Emirates University (UAEU) signed a memorandum of understand (MoU) with Abu Dhabi Police GHQ for forensic geology science studies and training.

The MoU was signed at Abu Dhabi Police GHQ by Major General Maktoum Al Sharifi, acting director general of Abu Dhabi Police, and UAEU Vice Chancellor Mohamed Albaili.

Major General Mohammed Khalfan Al Romaithi, commander-in-chief of Abu Dhabi Police, said that scientific method helps prevent crime and that methods taught at the university are adapted for use in real-world criminal investigations.

Al Romaithi noted that cooperation with the university benefits both the police department and the school.

UAEU Chancellor Ali Rashid Al Noaimi spoke of the school’s ongoing quest to develop the capacity of scientific research and innovation through partnerships with various institutions. Doing so enhances its leading role in contributing effectively to developing innovative solutions to the challenges facing society.
