A regularly scheduled meeting was recently held in Bait Al
Tijjar for the industrial sector committee of the Bahrain Chamber of Commerce
and Industry (BCCI), which is headed by Vice Chairman Abdulhameed Al Kooheji.

A major movement in the meeting came when the committee
voiced its favor toward visiting the Asharqia Chamber of the Kingdom of Saudi
Arabia to discuss the possibility of partnering to host an event aimed at
supporting large industrial companies.

The meeting discussion went on to cover ways
the committee could work with all GCC countries to strengthen its
partnerships with different government agencies — in an effort to revive the
industry.

Touching on legal matters, the
committee discussed a proposed law given to the Council of Representatives that
would change Article 24 of Decree Law No. 28 of 1999 that regulates
establishing industrial zones.

At the end of the meeting, the committee came together to
pray for grieving member Seraj Al Kooheji.
