Telecommunications company VIVA Bahrain is teaming up with software and services provider CSG to develop a secure communication platform for businesses.

“Enterprises are constantly seeking to manage the risks associated with unsupported, free apps running on their network,” VIVA Bahrain Chief Wholesale and Enterprise Officer Saad Odeh said. “By partnering with CSG we are able to introduce, for our enterprise customers, a communications app that allows them to address the risks associated with widespread and increased use of consumer messaging apps for sensitive voice communications and text messages.”

The application will provide users with a controlled communications platform that will enable them to share files, engage in real-time instant messaging, make closed VoIP calls and make closed contact groups for ad hoc conference calls. It will be accessible on iOS, Android and Windows smartphones and tablets.

“We are delighted to be working with VIVA Bahrain to offer this service to its customers,” CSG Chairman Harvey Boulter said. “With the proliferation of mobile devices and consumer messaging apps, confidential communications are taking place well beyond the visibility and control of most organizations. With the VIVA Communicator app, VIVA ‘s enterprise customers can ensure that their confidential information remains under their control.”
