Vodafone Qatar has released its financial results through March and has listed its priorities going into the future on Wednesday.

Over the course of this financial reporting period, the company reported a 9 percent growth in its mobile customers and a 16 percent increase in revenue amounting to approximately $634 million.

“Our state-of-the-art infrastructure paired with superior levels of customer experience is allowing Vodafone Qatar to meet the needs of our customers,” Vodafone

Chairman H.E. Sheikh Khalid bin Thani Al Thani said. “Our enterprise offering and services have significantly grown with many notable new customers joining Vodafone. On the consumer side, we continued to take great strides in the postpaid segment through successful and differentiated targeted propositions, specifically with Vodafone’s Red plans. We also launched Falla, an updated youth offer and focused on sustaining our prepaid position against aggressive competition by always giving customers the best value available in Qatar. Moreover, leveraging Vodafone Group PLC’s unparalleled global footprint, we continued to lead in the roaming space with Qatar’s best roaming rates and the widest 4G roaming coverage.”

The company also noted that it had reached full compliance with Islamic practices in January. The company aims to keep these principles as an integral part of its company’s culture.

Vodafone also aims to further enhance its mobile network and increase the number of mobile hotspot sites across the region.
