Warwick University students interested in working within the financial services sector recently took a trip to global financial advisory group Holborn Assets at its Dubai headquarters.

Students from the U.K. university learned about the company and its services, which cover the areas of investments, pensions, mortgages, insurance, wills, business management, currency exchange and financial planning. They also learned about the process of becoming an Independent Financial Advisor (IFA), were given insight from a former intern on what it is like to work at Holborn and went on a tour of the Holborn Office at Barsha Heights.

While the majority of students who attended the trip were on track to earn finance-based degrees and want to work with firms like Holborn Assets, Holborn CEO Robert Parker told them they must be flexible due to the rapidly changing financial services landscape. He explained that the jobs they are currently interested in might not exist five years from now — and other jobs they may like haven’t even been created.

Holborn Assets specializes in personal and corporate wealth management and has been in operation since 1999.
