The 27th Water, Energy, Technology and Environment Exhibition (WETEX) will take place from September 30 to October 2, 2025. The event will focus on the role of artificial intelligence (AI) in enhancing service delivery and promoting digital transformation across key sectors for a sustainable future.

Organized by Dubai Electricity and Water Authority (DEWA), WETEX is held under the directives of HH Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum and the patronage of HH Sheikh Ahmed bin Saeed Al Maktoum. It will be hosted at the Dubai World Trade Centre.

Local and international companies are expected to present advanced AI solutions aimed at improving efficiency, addressing digital transformation challenges, automating tasks, and facilitating data-driven decision-making. These innovations aim to drive economic growth and improve quality of life.

Panel discussions during WETEX will focus on empowering participants with AI skills necessary for designing solutions that contribute to a digital economy. International experts will provide insights into leveraging AI tools for performance enhancement while discussing data verification methods and privacy protection.

“WETEX reinforces the UAE’s position as a global AI hub while enhancing Dubai’s competitiveness and leadership in shaping a dynamic digital economy,” said HE Saeed Mohammed Al Tayer, MD and CEO of DEWA. He added that WETEX supports collaboration to deploy AI in vital sectors, transfer knowledge, localize technologies, and enhance investor trust through advanced infrastructure.

Helmut von Struve, CEO of Siemens in the UAE and Middle East stated that “Technologies like artificial intelligence make lives easier, production more efficient and operations more sustainable.” He emphasized the importance of partnerships in addressing global challenges.

Marwan Zeineddine from SAP UAE highlighted AI as a key enabler of sustainable innovation. “At SAP, we are committed to supporting the UAE’s vision by helping organisations transform data into meaningful action,” he said.
