The United Arab Emirates is set to host the 11th World Green Economy Summit (WGES) on October 1 and 2, 2025, at the Dubai World Trade Centre. The event is organized by Dubai Electricity and Water Authority (DEWA), the Dubai Supreme Council of Energy, and the World Green Economy Organisation (WGEO).

The summit will bring together experts from various industries, countries, and sectors under the theme “Innovating for Impact: Accelerating the Future of the Green Economy.” It aims to explore innovative approaches to combat climate change with a focus on empowering developing regions, fostering global cooperation, driving concrete action, and strengthening public-private partnerships.

This year’s WGES will address several key topics through seven thematic pillars:

1. **Technology and Innovation**: Sessions will examine how technology drives climate resilience and sustainability. Discussions will highlight AI-powered solutions that optimize renewable energy integration and improve carbon emissions monitoring.

2. **Clean and Renewable Energy Technologies**: This pillar will explore solutions to meet global energy demands sustainably. Topics include nuclear energy’s role in clean power commitments, scaling up green hydrogen economy challenges, and ethical sourcing of critical minerals.

3. **Policy and Regulation**: Sessions will delve into shifts in climate policy across major markets like the EU and US. They will discuss renewable energy investments’ resilience amid regulatory uncertainty.

4. **Finance**: Financial mechanisms driving the green transition are under scrutiny here. Strategies for overcoming barriers to renewable energy deployment will be discussed alongside private sector investment alignment with international climate commitments.

5. **Climate Equity**: These sessions focus on climate change’s disproportionate effects on vulnerable communities regarding health, food security, and water access.

6. **Climate Adaptation and Resilience**: Strategies for societal adaptation to escalating climate change effects are explored here with an emphasis on nature-based solutions.

7. **Youth in Climate Action**: The role of youth in driving climate solutions through technology, entrepreneurship, and activism is examined.

WGES 2025 aims to foster dialogue among participants while prioritizing crucial issues such as energy transition mitigation adaptation finance innovation through these thematic pillars.
