Logistics provider Agility will
offer specialized services for companies within the private and public sectors
after winning a five year contract with Kuwait-based YIACO Medical Company, a medical
and pharmaceutical supplier that works with a number of different health care
sector entities.

“This partnership unifies our logistics under one roof and
allows us to increase quality and efficiency while ensuring high standards of
compliance,” Dr. Bader Alzaid Altraji, CEO of YIACO for Kuwait and the
region, said. “Agility’s experience in supply chain management and its advanced
warehouse facility enable us to efficiently serve more than 1,500 pharmacies,
public and private, along with hospitals.”

The contract calls for Agility to store medicines and
medical equipment from YIACO as well as manage the placement of the Kuwait Ministry of
Health’s stamp on orders filled by YIACO.

“YIACO is the biggest private-sector supplier to the
Ministry of Health,” Ali Mikail, Agility senior vice president for Kuwait
and the Levant, said. “Agility’s services will ensure that YIACO can continue
providing high quality, efficient services to the ministry. We are committed to
supporting YIACO so that these important services continue to be seamless and
timely.”

The ministry licenses Agility
facility, which utilizes innovative technology and equipment to control the
storage, receipt, distribution and revers logistics. The warehouse is a complex
building that offers a quarantine area, items pending approval or licensing by
the Ministry of Health, a temperature-controlled area for sensitive medicines,
and a private area for high priced medical equipment and pharmaceutical
materials.
