Zain Group, a mobile telecom innovator in the Middle East
and Africa (MENA), was recently named Best Employer Brand at LinkedIn’s
annual Talent Awards, which celebrates the successes of LinkedIn customers in
the MENA region.

“This recognition as one of the
region’s best employer brands is acknowledgement of our genuine
efforts and confirms our strategy of focusing on relevant and personalized
content, relating to our audience’s interest areas,” Maryam Saif, Zain Group head of human resources, said. “It
also provides us with an opportunity to benchmark ourselves against other
companies that seek to attract the best talent. By using the power of LinkedIn,
we successfully extended our reach across borders and subsequently gained interest
from passive and active candidates alike.”

Saif spoke about the company’s passionate workforce,
believing the 7000-person-strong group comes together every day to make a
difference. She believes the recognition from LinkedIn reflects on the many
years of hard work put in by the company.

“The recognition we have received
from LinkedIn reflects the many years of team work, engagement, and fun that
Zain has established with respect to its recruitment activities,”
Saif said. “This approach has resulted in us being able to have
developed great professional friendships and we looking forward to leveraging
these even further in the coming years.”
