A recent gaming partnership joins Zeptolab and Zain Group to produce Zain-branded games.

Zain and Zeptolab announced the new partnership on Dec. 17. Zeptolab will work with Zain to produce exclusive Zain-branded games on mobile devices within Zain’s eight Middle Eastern and North African markets.

With Zain and Zeptolab joining forces, Zain Group will offer its customers the latest in new and exciting products and services as Zain transforms from telecom services to a digital lifestyle provider. In addition to the Zain and Zeptolab partnership, Maysalward, the regional partner for Zeptolab, will assist Zain with branding and offer Arabic and English versions to the gaming community.

“Digital services are a major growth area for telcos, and as a leading mobile innovator in the Middle East and North Africa, it is imperative for Zain to continue to make these kinds of exciting new partnerships and bring new services to our customers,” Zain Group CEO Scott Gegenheimer said.

The wildly popular Cut the Rope game series has been downloaded over 750 million times since 2010. The object of Zeptolab’s newest version of the game, Cut the Rope: Magic, is to feed candy to “Om Nom” while collecting stars.

In the game, the little green creature not only hunts down the evil wizard that has stolen his candy supply, but also turns into a baby form, bird form or fish form to traverse the wizard’s land and escape the magical traps. Cut the Rope: Magic is scheduled for worldwide release on Dec. 17.
