On a tour and facilities inspection at Abu Dhabi Police General Headquarters (GHQ), Major General Omair Al Muhairi, director of police operations, encouraged personnel to strive for optimum performance, cooperation and communication to enhance productivity in the United Arab Emirates.

In remarks to Al Shabia Police Station officers and staff members, Al Muhairi reminded personnel of government leaders’ strong interest in supporting the development process at the country’s various police stations.

Communication with the public, implementation of state-of-the-art technology for high-end services and continued discipline were accentuated, with specific emphasis on the importance of completing customer transactions efficiently.

The tour conformed to inspection visits implemented by the Police Operations’ Directorate General with the goal of publicizing responsibility and accountability policy, staff motivation and field operation follow-up.

Al Muhairi was accompanied by Brigadier General Salem Shahin Al Nuaimi, deputy director of the capital police directorate; Lieutenant Colonel Rashid Khalaf Al Dhaheri, director of Al Shabia Police Station; First Lieutenant Sheikh Ahmed bin Nasser bin Zayed Al Nahyan, investigation branch manager; and a number of Capital Police Directorate officers.

On the tour, Al Muhairi inspected the facility’s high-tech shooting range and was briefed about newly installed mobile electronic systems which feature an instant mapping application designed to reduce response time. He also viewed the station’s miniature operations room and reviewed the workflow of the police department’s investigative and community branches.
