Jumbo, billed as the United Arab Emirates' (UAE) one-stop consumer electronics shopping experience, relaunched its retail outlet in the Mall of the Emirates on April 28 in Dubai with a new, intuitive format geared for optimal shopping experience.
Its new space encompasses 27,000 square feet in a clutter-free layout that encourages relaxed store navigation. Displays are ergonomically designed; wall fixtures are color-coded; signage is highly visible; and a higher level of product interactivity has been implemented. The anchor store’s interior features special merchandising areas for particular brands, and 75 consultants and sales staff will be available for enhanced customer service.
“Jumbo is a pioneer in organized retail in the region, and we have been improving our in-store and online offerings consistently to create industry-best retail experiences that appeal to the region’s international consumer base," Nadeem Khanzadah, head of OmniChannel Retail, Jumbo Group, said. "We think ahead to keep up with customer preferences in the highly competitive consumer electronics retail segment."
Jumbo has 35 stores across the UAB and Oman. It plans to grow within its existing markets as well as to expand its retail presence in Qatar, Bahrain and Kuwait. The sole distributor for Sony in the UAE, it also markets brands including Apple, Nokia, Casio, Dell, Toshiba and many others.
