Greenstone Equity Partners recently established a working relationship with London-based Charlemagne Capital to bring investment opportunities to its clients.
Charlemagne’s emerging markets specialist group is raising capital for a fund that invests in a diversified portfolio of Middle East and North Africa securities (MENA). The fund had achieved an annualized return of 36 percent during the past three years and generated more than 200 percent total return as of February, substantially outperforming the S&P Pan American Composite Index.
Charlemagne CEO Jayne Sutcliffe said the company invests in emerging markets to deliver attractive and consistent long-term returns.
“The MENA region has been an important source of capital flows and wealth accumulation, and with increased liquidity, local and international investors are becoming keenly aware of the opportunities MENA equities can offer,” Sutcliffe said. “With Greenstone Equity Partners’ thorough market knowledge and strong relationships, we believe that this collaboration will be a great asset to our operations.”
Greenstone President Omar Al-Gharabally said the fund placement firm is excited to collaborate with Charlemagne Capital because of its outstanding performance.
“Their team of investment professionals is thorough and knowledgeable, and with directors and employees owning 40 percent of the business, they are uniquely passionate about creating success,”Al-Gharabally said.
