The elevators of Burj Khalifa's At the Top -- the world’s highest observatory deck that sits atop the world’s tallest building -- recently surpassed a cumulative 384,400 kilometers, the distance from the earth to the moon.

The deck
opened in 2010, and the observation's two lifts take visitors up 124 floors to an open air platform. The two lifts log about 244.4 kilometers on any given day. From January to March of this year, the first observation lift logged 49,833 runs, for a distance of 21,329 kilometers, while the second lift logged 52,939 runs for a total distance of 22,658 kilometers.

The executive director of group operations for Emaar Properties PJSC said At the Top is one of the most popular tourist destinations in the world. It boasts seven Guinness World Records, including the title for the highest observatory deck in the world.
