Qatar joins 34th Customs Directors meeting in Riyadh

Qatar 's General Authority of Customs recently participated in the 34th Customs Directors in Arab meeting Tuesday through Thursday in Riyadh.

The delegation from was led by HE Ahmed bin Ali Al-Muhannadi, who serves as the chairman of the authority, and a number of subjects were discussed at the meeting. 

The first priorities in the discussions were the Unified Arab Customs Cooperation Agreement, the report and recommendations to organize transit transportation throughout the Arab regions, and the report and recommendations from the committee to reconcile various translations that amend a list of amenities that are not under the leadership of the Executive Program of the Greater Free Trade Area for health, religious and security regions.

There were several contributions throughout the meeting from the Qatari General Authority of Customs in the interest of the customs and work mechanisms of the Arab nations.

During the conference, the fourth Arab Forum on Combatting Commercial Fraud, Counterfeiting and Intellectual Property Rights (IPR) Protection also met. Led by bin Ali Al-Muhannadi, the meeting's theme was “Tracking the Chain of Producing Adulterated and Counterfeited Materials and the Methods of Control.”
