Mongolian PM looks to Abu Dhabi for foreign investment

A delegation of Mongolian officials led by Prime Minister Chimedi Saikhanbileg met with a number of high-ranking members of the Abu Dhabi Chamber of Commerce last week to pitch Mongolia as an attractive investment partner for the flourishing Emirate economy.

The Mongolian delegation outlined a number of incentives to draw United Arab Emirates (UAE) business, while Abu Dhabi Chamber members encouraged Mongolian companies to take advantage of the benefits of operating in the Emirates.

Ibrahim Al-Mahmoud, first vice-chairman of the Abu Dhabi Chamber of Commerce and Industry, noted the importance of forging new relationships with partners such as Mongolia as the UAE seeks to advance its standing as a powerhouse of commerce in the region.

“Abu Dhabi looks forward to increasing its competitive economic capabilities and to cope with the advanced economies in the world, which would establish the position of Abu Dhabi as a strong destination for international companies,” Al-Mahmoud said.

Leaders from both countries expressed a willingness to move forward with joint investments and to encourage commercial cooperation.  Saikhanbileg invited the members of the Chamber of Commerce to visit Mongolia and continue efforts to forge a strong economic partnership.
