Majid Saif Al Ghurair elected chairman of Dubai Chamber

The Dubai Chamber of Commerce and Industry elected its new chairman, two vice chairmen and Executive Committee members this week.

H.E. Majid Saif Al Ghurair is the chamber's new chairman of the board; H.E. Majed Hamad R. Al Shamsi is first vice chairman; H.E. Hisham Abdullah Al Shirawi is second vice chairman; H.E. Abdul Jalil Yousuf Darwish is treasurer; H.E. Helal Saeed Al Marri is vice treasurer; and H.E. Raja Easa Al Gurg and H.E. Yahiya Saeed bin Ahmed Lootah are new members of the Executive Committee.

Also, two new committees, the Permanent and Audit committees were formed. Abdul Hamied Ahmad Seddiqi, Dr. Ahmed Saif Belhasa, Amna Kalfan Al Jallaf, Buti Saeed Mohammad Al Ghandi and Essa Abdullah Al Ghurair were chosen as members of the Permanent Committee while Ebrahim Ahmed Abdulnabi Al Abbas, Faisal Juma Kalfan Belhoul, Faiza AlSayed M.Y. Al Hashemi, and Hani Rashid bin Rashid Al Yateem are members of the Audit committee.

The board thanked H.E. Abdul Rahman Saif Al Ghurair, former chairman of Dubai Chamber, for his efforts during the last eight years as chairman of the board of directors. Board members also thanked Khalid Juma Al Majed, the outgoing board member.
