Abu Dhabi Chamber to open office in Singapore

The Abu Dhabi Chamber of Commerce and Industry will soon open an office in Singapore in an effort to encourage companies there to invest in United Arab Emirate (UAE) industries.

The chamber announced the new office during a recent meeting in Abu Dhabi between chamber representatives and Derick Ting, representing the economic delegation from Singapore.

Also in attendance at the meeting were His Excellency Ibrahim Al-Mahmoud, vice-chairman of the Abu Dhabi Chamber, who chaired the meeting and gave a keynote address.

Al-Mahmoud said opening the office is part of the chamber’s plans to promote Abu Dhabi as an important investment and trade center for the region.

“It is very important to benefit from Singapore’s long experience through establishing strategic economic partnerships, and in return, Singapore can play a pivotal role in the economic development of Abu Dhabi,” Al-Mahmoud said. “This vision cannot be realized unless Singaporean companies boost their contribution to the proposed projects in Abu Dhabi.”

The exact opening date for the Singapore office was not announced.
