Dubai Customs recently launched a “Metanis” campaign to measure people’s happiness in response to the Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and the Ruler of Dubai HH Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum’s initiative, which is designed to measure citizens’ approval of government services on a daily basis.
Mestanis, which stands for “Are You Happy,” began Sunday at the Dubai Customs main offices. HE Director Ahmed Mahboob Musabih witnessed the campaign launch.
“This campaign comes in line with the directives and vision of H.H Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid describing that the Government of the future works 24/7 and 365 days a year,”

HE Ahmed Mahboob Musabih said. “It is as hospitable as hotels, fast in delivering and strong in its procedures. Aiming at for government to reach people instead of them having to reach it. A government that is innovative and adaptive. It improves the quality of life and helps people achieve happiness.”
The purpose of the campaign is to help customs leaders understand and improve the government services that customers dislike and request.
“In response to the directives and bright vision of HH Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid, Dubai Customs in collaboration with Dubai Smart Government Department provided the technical support and ensured the full capacity adoption at all sea, land and air ports in order to implement the “Happiness Meter” initiative,” Musabih said. “Two hundred and seven smart tablets were distributed and allocated across these locations in order to be at the reach of all clients.”
