GSE Systems, Inc., a Maryland-based firm that develops software-based simulation and training products for energy companies, is expanding into the Gulf region as it opens a new office in Manama, Bahrain.
The expansion is intended to better serve clients in the Middle East and North Africa. It will allow regional customers to communicate with GSE, and access the company’s workforce and plant performance solutions. GSE Systems expects the move to not only impact the Middle East, but the whole global energy industry.
“The intention of this office is to be closer to our customers, partners and those who are passionate about performance improvement services and technology,” GSE Systems Regional Manager Moaz Bulbul said. “We chose the location with customer convenience in mind, which really speaks to our mindset as a global performance improvement company.”
The Bahrain office is GSE Systems’ 10th, with other locations in the U.S., United Kingdom, Sweden, China and India. The firm works with energy providers across the sector, including nuclear, oil, natural gas, as well as with the chemical processing industry.
GSE Systems also develops software for monitoring and optimizing power plants. The company operates more than a thousand installations for hundreds of customers across 50 countries.
