The Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum Charity and Humanitarian Foundation has partnered with LuLu Group to conduct a Ramadan project in which shopping cards will be given to needy families throughout the United Arab Emirates.

At a news conference this week at the foundation's headquarters in Mamzar, Dubai, Ibrahim Boumelha, vice chairman of the board of trustees of the foundation, signed a memorandum of understanding on behalf of the Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum Charity and Humanitarian Foundation with Yusuff Ali M.A., managing director of LuLu Group International. Also at the signing was Saleh Zaher Saleh Al Mazroui, general manager of the Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum Charity and Humanitarian Foundation.

Gift cards will be distributed to more than 4,500 families across all seven emirates. The cards can be redeemed for food at any LuLu store in the UAE.

“More families will benefit from the project this time, and this project is of great importance to the foundation as it cooperates with its partners in charity within the UAE," Boumelha said.

This is the program's eighth year. The Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum Charity and Humanitarian Foundation conducts charity work within and outside the UAE during the holy month of Ramadan.
