Kansai lands paint contract for 3,000 villas in UAE

Kansai, a major Japanese paint manufacturer, has been awarded the contract for a 3,000-villa housing project in Al Ain, United Arab Emirates.

Kansai will both provide the necessary paint and apply it to the new villas, which are part of the Jebel Hafeet Emirati development project that will build schools, recreation facilities, mosques and amenities in addition to the 3,000 new homes.

“The project is another feather in our cap and reiterates our position in the region’s paint industry,” Syed Ameer Hamza Hasan, CEO of Kansai Paint’s Middle East branch, said. “The Emirati housing project in Al Ain is a prestigious venture of which we are thrilled to be a part of.”

The paint giant will use the project to showcase one of its new product lines – Neoshield Ultra. The new line of paint products is engineered as an eco-friendly, water-based exterior product. Neoshield Ultra is also designed using pure acrylic that will help bring down indoor air temperatures to keep villas cool during the harsh Emirati summer.

The Jebel Hafeet development is a project of the Abu Dhabi-based real estate company Tamouh Investments. It will span over 4 million square meters about 8 miles south of Al Ain, the United Arab Emirates’ fourth-largest city.
