Saudi Arabian Airlines, the national carrier for Saudi Arabia, recently became the world’s first airline to own and operate the new Airbus A330-300 Regional.
“The A330-300 Regional’s unique flexibility, high capacity and operational capabilities will enable us to expand our domestic and regional network and better absorb growing passenger traffic,” Director General Saudi Arabian Airline Saleh bin Nasser Al-Jasser said. “Introducing the A330-300 Regional in our current fleet is an ideal choice and follows our previous commitment to a family of aircraft which already successfully helped us achieve our ambitions.”
Airbus, which is a popular, fuel-efficient, wide body and single-aisle aircraft, will now be part of Saudi Arabian Airlines’ current Airbus fleet. The fleet currently consists of twelve A330-300s, as well as 50 A320 Family aircrafts.
